Narrative:
Departing mia to the east, we were anticipating a climbing left turn and we really wanted the climb when we turned to top a line of WX that was forming to the north. We were given a turn without the climb, but we climbed to 7300 ft prior to realizing our mistake. We corrected back to our approved altitude of 7000 ft. Nothing was mentioned on the ATC frequency.
