Narrative:
Preflight, taxi, climb, cruise and descent were normal. All indications were normal. Winds at ord were 2318g26, approach assigned us runway 27L and turned us on a 21 mile final at 180 KTS, at 8 DME I called for the gear down, final descent check. We noticed there were no gear indication lights red or green. We went around and worked the problem. We checked for popped cbs, called dispatch and worked with mx with no resolution, so we ran the manual gear extention irregular procedure. The nose and right main gear were verified down and locked. We were unable to verify the left main gear locked in position due to misallignment of the view port mirror. We declared the emergency with dispatch and finalized communication with mx approach put us on a 30 mile final for 27L. We landed without incident.
