Narrative:
Told by ground to taxi to runway 30L. Taxied to runway 30R at taxiway P. Did not cause any ground congestion but had to do a 180 degree turn on the taxiway. Then held short of runway 30R at taxiway right. Was again told by ground to taxi to runway 30L. Did a 180 degree turn holding short of runway 30R and finally taxied to runway 30L at taxiway south. This was a taxi clearance I had never had before and since, in the past, I have been used to going to runway 31 when the runway 30's are in use, this may have been a factor. Aside from my embarrassment, no congestion or runway incursion occurred. This happened at stl.
