Narrative:
At top of climb between ind and ZZZ, EICAS message 'fuel confign' illuminated. Fuel panel totalizer indicated (26.9) (L12.3) (R14.6). Fuel leak suspected and purser verified a mist trailing from left wing. Irregular procedure (flight handbook) in-flight fuel leak procedure was initiated and completed with the left engine being shut down. Dispatch and system aircraft maintenance were consulted and with the concurrence of dispatch, a diversion to ZZZ was commenced. A single engine landing was made at ZZZ with no injuries or damage to airplane. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter stated that on the ground in ZZZ the technicians found the fuel/oil heat exchanger had a broken fitting causing the fuel leak. The reporter said the engine was a pratt & whitney 4060.
