Narrative:
After push, received following clearance: 'turn left on taxiway H, taxiway B, bravo bridge, runway 32R.' first officer read back clearance. We waited for 1 aircraft to pass. There was some confusion with the ACARS performance data which distraction our attention. The captain then released the parking brake and turned right on taxiway H which put us against the flow of traffic. Neither myself nor the other first officer noticed the error until it was too late. I believe our preoccupation with the ACARS performance data contributed to this incident. I certainly will be more alert about taxi instructions and compliance in the future.

Title: A RELIEF FO OBSERVED THE CAPT TURN ONTO TXWY H IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION OF THE FLOW AT ORD, DUE TO BEING DISTR BY AN ACARS PROB.
Narrative: AFTER PUSH, RECEIVED FOLLOWING CLRNC: 'TURN L ON TXWY H, TXWY B, BRAVO BRIDGE, RWY 32R.' FO READ BACK CLRNC. WE WAITED FOR 1 ACFT TO PASS. THERE WAS SOME CONFUSION WITH THE ACARS PERFORMANCE DATA WHICH DISTR OUR ATTN. THE CAPT THEN RELEASED THE PARKING BRAKE AND TURNED R ON TXWY H WHICH PUT US AGAINST THE FLOW OF TFC. NEITHER MYSELF NOR THE OTHER FO NOTICED THE ERROR UNTIL IT WAS TOO LATE. I BELIEVE OUR PREOCCUPATION WITH THE ACARS PERFORMANCE DATA CONTRIBUTED TO THIS INCIDENT. I CERTAINLY WILL BE MORE ALERT ABOUT TAXI INSTRUCTIONS AND COMPLIANCE IN THE FUTURE.
