Narrative:
On climb out from the houston hobby airport, ZFW, on our initial contact, assigned us a climb from FL270 to FL330. Passing FL290-FL295, center used an incorrect company name with our flight number before using the right company name/flight number with the request to maintain FL290. Our response was that 'we would descend back to FL290,' at which point center reclred us to FL330. Within 1-2 mins, center asked us to reset our transponder to the correct code, stating that our flight information was lost. We switched to the other transponder and all was then ok with our flight information, according to center.
