Narrative:
Takeoff from ord on runway 32R initial heading 340 degrees assigned. Failed to make 3000 ft crossing at 5 DME. We were at 2650 ft. At 5 DME we had planned to make crossing ok but did not because of thunderstorm down drafts in area.

Narrative: TKOF FROM ORD ON RWY 32R INITIAL HDG 340 DEGS ASSIGNED. FAILED TO MAKE 3000 FT XING AT 5 DME. WE WERE AT 2650 FT. AT 5 DME WE HAD PLANNED TO MAKE XING OK BUT DID NOT BECAUSE OF TSTM DOWN DRAFTS IN AREA.
