Narrative:

Taxi in a non movement area. Pushed back from gate on flight from bwi. We were cleared to taxi taxiway P to runway 28. Looking over at taxiway P, I mistook a company sitting on taxiway a short of taxiway east, as being on taxiway P. So I started to taxi around the back of the firehouse to go 'a-P to 2B.' when I got my nose committed behind the fire house, I remembered that this was a no-taxi area. Ground advised us of this also. We proceeded very carefully and went 'a-P to runway 28.' the rest of the flight was uneventful. I realized I should have questioned the taxi instructions when I saw company aircraft on what I thought was taxiway P. Just a suggestion: on the 10-9 page and 10-7 page, place a dashed line across the throat of the area behind the firehouse to provide a quick visual queue that this is a no-taxi area.
