Narrative:

After takeoff from tpa, climbed to cruise altitude, got a SELCAL from dispatch. Phone in cockpit was not working, called dispatch through commercial radio, talked to dispatch. Person said we should fly at a lower altitude and faster speed, which we were already doing. Dispatch reminded us about landing weight at houston. Dispatch said to call when reaching houston. Landed at houston with a landing weight of 129500 pounds, 500 pounds below landing weight. Called dispatch a while later and they told me we took off over maximum takeoff weight. The paperwork we received in tpa said our weight was under maximum takeoff by 1300 pounds. Dispatch said that 1800 pounds of freight was put on the aircraft in tpa. The additional weight was not on our paperwork so crew did not know, until dispatch informed us at destination airport.
