Narrative:
Approaching mci from the east. Mci VORTAC OTS. Runway 1R closed, using runway 1L. Captain's navigation tuned to runway 1R for DME. Copilot hand flying with navigation tuned to runway 1L. Cleared for ILS runway 1L. Approach selected. Copilot's flight director responded to captain's runway 1R CDI. We got established on runway 1R course inbound. ATC vectored us to runway 1L then we made normal approach and landing.
