Narrative:
I am concerned about our MEL. It allows the cockpit intercom system to be deferred. The captain and first officer can't communicate with this system inoperative, yet the airplane is allowed to fly for 3 flight days under MEL 23-8 (BA4100). This situation needs to be corrected. This deferral waives the far for boom microphone use below FL180.

Title: JS41 CREW WAS DISPATCHED WITH AN MEL'ED INOP COCKPIT INTERPHONE.
Narrative: I AM CONCERNED ABOUT OUR MEL. IT ALLOWS THE COCKPIT INTERCOM SYS TO BE DEFERRED. THE CAPT AND FO CAN'T COMMUNICATE WITH THIS SYS INOP, YET THE AIRPLANE IS ALLOWED TO FLY FOR 3 FLT DAYS UNDER MEL 23-8 (BA4100). THIS SIT NEEDS TO BE CORRECTED.
