Narrative:

On approach to sfo, we were assigned 270 KTS and 10000 ft. Through 11000 ft, ATC cleared us for the tiptoe visual to runway 28L. The captain reset the altitude to 5000 ft for the menlo restr and I looked at the procedure. The plane was in level change and the captain told me we were going too fast. Our altitude was approximately 9500 ft. I immediately reduced speed to 250 KTS, by which time we were level at 8700 ft. I became too distraction in looking at the approach and stopped flying the airplane. I feel fatigue also played a factor because the past 4 mornings I have had show times at or before XA00 home time. I have tried to rest responsibly, but sometimes the body won't cooperate even though the mind is willing.
