Narrative:
There isn't much to say about this occurrence, only that after takeoff as I began my service, power outlets began to short circuit. First, I lost lighting in the forward entry part of the cabin then lost all lavatory power. Flight attendants in the rear of the cabin experienced the same failure. I then informed the cockpit crew who stated that they had a battery/indicator light illuminate and were checking it. Before I knew it the captain called all flight attendants on the phone and informed us to lock everything up and that we would be landing in buffalo within 20 mins. We landed rapidly but without a problem. The cabin crew was well-informed of the situation and luckily we diverted, and had no serious issues or further problems to deal with.
