Narrative:
Climbing through FL290 slight smell of electrical fire fumes. Called flight attendants (fas) and they reported no smell. Fumes intensified very rapidly. Donned O2 masks; [advised] center; coordinated immediate emergency descent/turn to ZZZ. Finished running smoke/fumes checklist. Noticed vent blower and exhaust ecams; ran those checklists. Contacted fas giving them the test briefing and told them to prepare the cabin for evacuation. On descent fumes began to diminish; removed 02 masks; and informed fas. Continued for normal landing; taxi to gate.
Original NASA ASRS Text
