Narrative:
At XA00 I contacted day tower about flying 2 NORDO airplanes into day for an airshow display and was advised it was ok. Also informed the tower that 1 airplane was very slow (50 mph) -- was advised it would be no problem. Departed immediately, lined up behind a mooney M20E who was in contact with dayton ATC, we had prearranged signals for entry into class C airspace. We landed at day on runway 24L. The mooney was first, the aeronca second, and the E2 cub last. Upon landing on pavement, directional control with the E2 was lost due to the fact the E2 was manufactured without brakes or a steerable tailwheel. I then proceeded out of the aeronca to the edge of runway 24L but still on the taxiway. When the E2 rolled up to the taxiway, I grabbed the right strut to help him complete his turn off the active runway, to clear the active runway as soon as possible. The active was cleared within 10 seconds of the E2 arriving at the taxiway. Tower then notified the mooney that we were to hold position and wait for airport security to escort us to FBO and request us to call the tower as soon as possible.

Title: DURING A NORDO PREARRANGED ARR OF 2 SMA ACFT, THE PAX OF THE AERONCA LEFT ACFT TO HELP THE NON BRAKE, NO TAILWHEEL STEERING TAYLOR CUB OFF RWY WITHOUT PRIOR COORD WITH THE TWR CTLR.

I THEN PROCEEDED OUT OF THE AERONCA TO THE EDGE OF RWY 24L BUT STILL ON THE TXWY. WHEN THE E2 ROLLED UP TO THE TXWY, I GRABBED THE R STRUT TO HELP HIM COMPLETE HIS TURN OFF THE ACTIVE RWY, TO CLR THE ACTIVE RWY AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. THE ACTIVE WAS CLRED WITHIN 10 SECONDS OF THE E2 ARRIVING AT THE TXWY. TWR THEN NOTIFIED THE MOONEY THAT WE WERE TO HOLD POS AND WAIT FOR ARPT SECURITY TO ESCORT US TO FBO AND REQUEST US TO CALL THE TWR ASAP.
