Narrative:
TCASII RA. RA given as we descended to 4000 ft, talking to approach control. Head-to-head closure with MD80, landing runway 16R. Aircraft were both turning south to join final approach, my aircraft runway 16L. Controller was unnecessarily rushing the procedure. We were in clouds just prior to point of closest contact.
