Narrative:

Location: 1 mi on departure dfw airport. On takeoff, nose gear failed to retract. Nose gear light red with amber gear door light illuminated. Accomplished afm procedure (land 8) with no result. Condition was accompanied by 'autospoiler do not use' light illuminated. Accomplished appropriate procedure, and established contact with ZZZ technician. They requested we burn fuel down to maximum landing weight. While loitering, we advised approach control and air carrier maintenance to have maintenance and crash fire rescue equipment crews follow to ramp. Landing was uneventful at XA57Z. Inspection confirmed nose gear condition normal. Gear pinned at request of air carrier maintenance and aircraft taxied to gate.
