Narrative:

Incident occurred at hangar 3 and runway 7, lunken airport, luk. As a pedestrian, I walked across a sidewalk area near the threshold of runway 7, the language on the signage is ambiguous, confusing, and not up to airport signage standards. It is difficult to see if the sign relates to people or aircraft. A sidewalk which has been used for 60 yrs is still in place. I was confronted by security and advised that the signage, runway markings, and hold short lines so close to the hangar were confusing to both pedestrians and pilots. A white line outlining the runway and threshold, a stop sign, or hold short, or do not enter sign would be recommended improvements for the area.
