Narrative:
During my captain's postflt he noticed there had been damage to the tailskid platform of our aircraft. We both feel that during our previous 2 flts with this aircraft there would have been no way possible for us to have implemented the damage. At the point of notice I had previously done 1 preflight and my captain had done 2 postflt walkarounds. For whatever reason the damage had escaped both of our views. Of course, once my captain noticed it he did the proper thing and reported it to our maintenance department.
