Narrative:

On approach to sfo, I had a trailing edge flap disagreement EICAS message when positioning the flaps to 1 degree. I had ATC issue delayed vectors while performing the trailing edge flap disagreement irregular checklist. For precaution, I declared an emergency. After accomplishing all checklists, talking to maintenance and dispatch, I made an uneventful landing in sfo. With the combination of CRM and good training this event seemed routine. Teamwork was a key factor.
