Narrative:
After landing on runway 25L, rolled out longer than expected and began to exit runway onto taxiway A2, which was notamed closed on the ATIS. A company aircraft was forced to go around as a result. I failed to tell the first officer (first officer was PF) that taxiway A2 was closed, because we usually do not use that taxiway. We had fully cleared the runway before I inquired ATC about the closure. In the future, I plan to discuss all taxiway closures adjacent to our landing runway and along our expected taxi route with the first officer, regardless of whether or not we 'normally' use them. Although I do accept full responsibility, I must add that I have become somewhat accustomed to 'runway exiting instructions' from ATC. For example, 'right turn at taxiway A2, ground point 8.' I would think that they (ATC) would be especially vigilant in a case like this. But, they were probably thinking the same thing I was -- 'we usually don't use taxiway A2.'
