Narrative:

ATC gave me vector to ILS localizer to runway 5R and instructed to maintain 2700 ft and 170 KTS. I allowed altitude to go to 2000 ft and speed to 120 KTS before I realized (with ATC alert). I immediately climbed back to 2700 ft and increased speed to 170 KTS. I was then turned over to knoxville tower to complete a successful normal ILS 5 left approach. Problem was, I used autoplt to descend to 2700 ft from 5000 ft and forgot to stop it at 2700 ft as instructed. I will fly manually in future, or if using autoplt, remember to stop descent at assigned altitude. Another contributing factor was inexperience doing ILS approachs in IMC with this aircraft. This was my first in this aircraft.

Title: AN SMA PLT, ON FINAL TO TYS, DEVIATED FROM ASSIGNED ALT AND AIRSPD.

Narrative: ATC GAVE ME VECTOR TO ILS LOC TO RWY 5R AND INSTRUCTED TO MAINTAIN 2700 FT AND 170 KTS. I ALLOWED ALT TO GO TO 2000 FT AND SPD TO 120 KTS BEFORE I REALIZED (WITH ATC ALERT). I IMMEDIATELY CLBED BACK TO 2700 FT AND INCREASED SPD TO 170 KTS. I WAS THEN TURNED OVER TO KNOXVILLE TWR TO COMPLETE A SUCCESSFUL NORMAL ILS 5 L APCH. PROB WAS, I USED AUTOPLT TO DSND TO 2700 FT FROM 5000 FT AND FORGOT TO STOP IT AT 2700 FT AS INSTRUCTED. I WILL FLY MANUALLY IN FUTURE, OR IF USING AUTOPLT, REMEMBER TO STOP DSCNT AT ASSIGNED ALT. ANOTHER CONTRIBUTING FACTOR WAS INEXPERIENCE DOING ILS APCHS IN IMC WITH THIS ACFT. THIS WAS MY FIRST IN THIS ACFT.
