Narrative:

Before flight, I checked WX and NOTAMS on my computer and found no appropriate NOTAMS or tfr's. The flight was south out of ZZZ to ZZZ1 VOR at 3500 ft MSL, then west from ZZZ1 VOR. Upon F16 intercept, radio contact was attempted 4 to 5 times. On the last attempt, an unknown person directed us to contact ZZZ2 approach. We altered course to the north and attempted to contact ZZZ2 approach as directed. Having gotten no response, presumably copying the wrong frequency. We continued monitoring 121.5 and flew back to ZZZ. Upon landing, tower instructed us to call TRACON. I would have loved dearly to not fly into restr airspace. After landing and with extensive searching, the correct fdc NOTAM was located. I would love it if these very important (and changing) tfr's could be made a lot more visible on the print out, large print, bold face, red, blinking -- whatever could be done.
