Narrative:
Flap disagree. Flaps had been retracted for 1 min. Then flap disagree message on MFDU 'amber.' followed procedure reset flaps to 8 degrees. While retracting flaps to 0 degree flaps hung at 7 degrees. Followed alternate flap procedure retracted flaps to 0 degree. Contacted dispatch and returned to ZZZ for a normal flaps 25 degree landing. Maintenance found same problem with flaps hanging at 7 degrees using normal flap procedures.

Narrative: FLAP DISAGREE. FLAPS HAD BEEN RETRACTED FOR 1 MIN. THEN FLAP DISAGREE MESSAGE ON MFDU 'AMBER.' FOLLOWED PROC RESET FLAPS TO 8 DEGS. WHILE RETRACTING FLAPS TO 0 DEG FLAPS HUNG AT 7 DEGS.
