Narrative:

On the arrival phase into atl coming from the west, we were given a runway change. The captain was loading it in the FMS when this was done. The first officer began retrieving the new approach plate and reviewing it. At this time, approach control gave us a descending turn. The first officer began the descent, but not the turn. The captain prompted the turn and the first officer responded. However, the turn came late and a TA followed by a climbing RA was received. ATC was advised of the maneuver as we were complying. A 'clear of conflict' was soon received and the flight continued without further incidence.
