Narrative:
Paragraph 2 section 80 of the operations manual in warning alert section page 31 needs to be revised for clarify to read 'override 'on' disables terrain display on both navigation display system or WX radar and cancels aural alerting functions.' this correction will prevent potential go around action when the egpws system has failed and the white lights in the override button have burned out making it impossible to determine that the switch is in fact in the override position until aural alerts sound at the critical stage of flight upon landing/entry into the terrain clearance floor regime. A caution note in the operations manual volume I, warning page 1 under obvious false warnings that says, 'note: check egpws switch in override position, if warnings continued, pull circuit breaker epc -F20.'
