Narrative:
En route slc-ida, just leveled at FL260, set cruise. Front windshield captain's side outer layer shattered. Started descent, told center, and declared emergency. Requested vectors to pih. Center complied. He gave us 12000 ft and vectors to pih. Landed without further problems.
