Narrative:
During pushback of flight from bwi-den, we had a problem with the start valve on the left engine. Tug pushed us onto taxiway a and stopped while we called maintenance. While dealing with problem, an air carrier B737 taxied between us and terminal, startling the ground personnel. They complained that this wasn't the first time. I complained to the ground controller, who responded 'uh, okay' and diverted other traffic by another route. The B737 pilot commented 'we could get through so what's the problem.' obviously they don't understand safety is the problem since the air carrier and the bwi ground controller have done this before.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: IMPROPER TAXI PROCS WERE RPTED BY A B767 CAPT WHO STATED THAT DURING HIS PUSHBACK AT BWI, ANOTHER ACR'S B737 TAXIED BTWN HIS ACFT AND THE TERMINAL, CAUSING HIS GND CREW TO BE STARTLED.
Narrative: DURING PUSHBACK OF FLT FROM BWI-DEN, WE HAD A PROB WITH THE START VALVE ON THE L ENG. TUG PUSHED US ONTO TXWY A AND STOPPED WHILE WE CALLED MAINT. WHILE DEALING WITH PROB, AN ACR B737 TAXIED BTWN US AND TERMINAL, STARTLING THE GND PERSONNEL. THEY COMPLAINED THAT THIS WASN'T THE FIRST TIME. I COMPLAINED TO THE GND CTLR, WHO RESPONDED 'UH, OKAY' AND DIVERTED OTHER TFC BY ANOTHER RTE. THE B737 PLT COMMENTED 'WE COULD GET THROUGH SO WHAT'S THE PROB.' OBVIOUSLY THEY DON'T UNDERSTAND SAFETY IS THE PROB SINCE THE ACR AND THE BWI GND CTLR HAVE DONE THIS BEFORE.
