Narrative:
Taxied to runway 5 at myf, prior to tower opening, for noise abatement takeoff. Received IFR clearance from tower after tower opened. Requested takeoff on runway 5 for noise abatement. Tower advised taxi to runway 10R. Normally runway 28R is IFR departure runway. Taxied across approach end of runway 10R to runway 10L (instrument runway) without clearance to cross runway 10R. Habit of using runway 10L/28R for instrument conditions contributory to taxiing to runway 10L. Runway 10L is longer runway. Corrective action is to be more attentive to the otherwise routine instructions, and be more intent on what the tower instructions are than what you think they should be.

Title: C182 INADVERTENTLY TAXIED ACROSS THE APCH END OF THE RWY TO WHICH CLRED.
Narrative: TAXIED TO RWY 5 AT MYF, PRIOR TO TWR OPENING, FOR NOISE ABATEMENT TKOF. RECEIVED IFR CLRNC FROM TWR AFTER TWR OPENED. REQUESTED TKOF ON RWY 5 FOR NOISE ABATEMENT. TWR ADVISED TAXI TO RWY 10R. NORMALLY RWY 28R IS IFR DEP RWY. TAXIED ACROSS APCH END OF RWY 10R TO RWY 10L (INST RWY) WITHOUT CLRNC TO CROSS RWY 10R. HABIT OF USING RWY 10L/28R FOR INST CONDITIONS CONTRIBUTORY TO TAXIING TO RWY 10L. RWY 10L IS LONGER RWY. CORRECTIVE ACTION IS TO BE MORE ATTENTIVE TO THE OTHERWISE ROUTINE INSTRUCTIONS, AND BE MORE INTENT ON WHAT THE TWR INSTRUCTIONS ARE THAN WHAT YOU THINK THEY SHOULD BE.
