Narrative:
Replacement pilot left flight deck while captain was on break. No security bar was used. First officer was left unaccompanied with nobody to bar the door. The reason: flight attendant call button was intermittent. Relief pilot was feeling ill and there was not enough time to find a flight attendant to bar the door. Cockpit was unsecured for approximately 2 mins as a result. Communication was difficult due to the broken call chime and the security bar system.
