Narrative:

Departure runway was xy at ZZZ. At approximately 400 ft and turning to departure heading of 255 degrees, #1 engine failure occurred. First officer declared emergency with ATC and requested climb to 3000 ft. Accomplished engine failure checklist. Received clearance from ATC to dump fuel. Fuel dump checklist was completed followed by 1 engine inoperative descent, approach and before landing checklist to an uneventful landing and taxi to gate at ZZZ. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: crew was flying a B727-200 aircraft equipped with JT8D-15 engines. The captain indicated maintenance found a sheered high pressure engine driven fuel pump shaft.

THE CAPT INDICATED MAINT FOUND A SHEERED HIGH PRESSURE ENG DRIVEN FUEL PUMP SHAFT.
