Narrative:

During cruise flight at FL370, we had a strong burning plastic odor in the flight deck. First officer/PNF immediately received reports from all flight attendant stations of the same. I was the PNF and along with the captain ran the smoke/fumes checklist and then the smoke fumes elimination procedure. The smell dissipated when we turned the utility bus switches off and cleared the cabin air. Dispatch/maintenance were consulted and we continued to destination without further incident and without any reinstatement of system.
