Narrative:
While the aircraft was leaving ZZZ on the way to ZZZ1 smoke and sparks were present in the area of the coffee maker in the forward galley. Circuit breakers popped and the smoke immediately stopped. Maintenance found galley control panel not secured. Panel was reinstalled.

Title: MD11 CABIN CREW DISCOVERED SMOKE IN THE FORWARD GALLEY AREA.
Narrative: WHILE THE ACFT WAS LEAVING ZZZ ON THE WAY TO ZZZ1 SMOKE AND SPARKS WERE PRESENT IN THE AREA OF THE COFFEE MAKER IN THE FORWARD GALLEY. CIRCUIT BREAKERS POPPED AND THE SMOKE IMMEDIATELY STOPPED. MAINT FOUND GALLEY CTL PANEL NOT SECURED. PANEL WAS REINSTALLED.
