Narrative:
I changed #5 slat actuator due to #5 slat xsit overhead not illuminating and xsit light on forward panel staying illuminated. Remove and replaced actuator per maintenance manual. Operations and leaked check good per maintenance manual. I didn't get it inspected. Reason: should have known better.

Narrative: I CHANGED #5 SLAT ACTUATOR DUE TO #5 SLAT XSIT OVERHEAD NOT ILLUMINATING AND XSIT LIGHT ON FORWARD PANEL STAYING ILLUMINATED. REMOVE AND REPLACED ACTUATOR PER MAINT MANUAL. OPS AND LEAKED CHK GOOD PER MAINT MANUAL. I DIDN'T GET IT INSPECTED. REASON: SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER.
