Narrative:
Aircraft #1 was being vectored for sequence from the west of slc with north arrs. Aircraft #1 was vectored to avoid another aircraft entering my airspace at 12000 ft, descending to 11000 ft. After aircraft #1 was turned into the downwind, aircraft #2 (also high) overtook aircraft #1 closest proximity 2 mi in-trail, 200 ft vertical. Procedures, practices, and beliefs have been utilized during this arrival bank involving a wide variety of aircraft. The practices being utilized are and were not specific. Coordination of responsibilities was not accomplished. Pointouts for aircraft entering my airspace were not accomplished. The other sector had given normal speed to the aircraft #2. Neither the controller, coordinator, nor traffic management coordinator watching/working this sector took action or were aware of the situation until coordinated with. My fault was non specific coordination on the first call. Receiving controller couldn't get anything useful from the coordination even though it addressed their aircraft being high and fast!

Narrative: ACFT #1 WAS BEING VECTORED FOR SEQUENCE FROM THE W OF SLC WITH N ARRS. ACFT #1 WAS VECTORED TO AVOID ANOTHER ACFT ENTERING MY AIRSPACE AT 12000 FT, DSNDING TO 11000 FT. AFTER ACFT #1 WAS TURNED INTO THE DOWNWIND, ACFT #2 (ALSO HIGH) OVERTOOK ACFT #1 CLOSEST PROX 2 MI IN-TRAIL, 200 FT VERT. PROCS, PRACTICES, AND BELIEFS HAVE BEEN UTILIZED DURING THIS ARR BANK INVOLVING A WIDE VARIETY OF ACFT. THE PRACTICES BEING UTILIZED ARE AND WERE NOT SPECIFIC. COORD OF RESPONSIBILITIES WAS NOT ACCOMPLISHED. POINTOUTS FOR ACFT ENTERING MY AIRSPACE WERE NOT ACCOMPLISHED. THE OTHER SECTOR HAD GIVEN NORMAL SPD TO THE ACFT #2. NEITHER THE CTLR, COORDINATOR, NOR TFC MGMNT COORDINATOR WATCHING/WORKING THIS SECTOR TOOK ACTION OR WERE AWARE OF THE SIT UNTIL COORDINATED WITH. MY FAULT WAS NON SPECIFIC COORD ON THE FIRST CALL. RECEIVING CTLR COULDN'T GET ANYTHING USEFUL FROM THE COORD EVEN THOUGH IT ADDRESSED THEIR ACFT BEING HIGH AND FAST!
