Narrative:

The #1 flight attendant called, while en route, with a cabin write-up. The closet door on the forward entry area storage would not open in-flight. This closet holds halon fire extinguishers, portable breathing equipment, hood, etc. Flight attendants did not have access to the emergency equipment in-flight. (It opens fine on the ground.) I entered the write-up in the log. The flight attendants told me that this door sticking has been written up several times before, and our maintenance department just signs it off. Unsafe situation.
