Narrative:
We were parked at the gate and the seatbelt sign had been turned off. I was flight attendant a and the captain gave the open the main cabin door chime before the engines were shut down. I opened the main cabin door even though the engines were not shut down. When I opened the door and pushed it open; I then heard the engine but the door was already open. I blocked the doorway with my body until I got the all clear sign from the ground agent and let the passenger deplane. After the captain opened the cockpit door; he apologized for the early chime and I said that I had not realized the chime was too early until I had already pushed open the door. Although the captain gave the chime too early; I should have been listening and aware of the engine noise and not opened the door even though I got the chime.
