During taxiout, flight attendant's report smoke/electrical smell aft galley. Return to gate, declare emergency and have fire trucks meet aircraft at gate. Deplane passenger. Fire marshall, maintenance, FAA inspect aircraft, put on MEL 33-21-01 (deactivate galley lighting). Flight continued to slc.
