Narrative:
On climb out from bdl, experienced an explosion from right side of the aircraft. Due to WX and runway contamination, we diverted and landed at jfk. We did not ask for priority, but received excellent support form ATC. Landing was uneventful at jfk.

Title: B737-200 CREW HAD A RPTED EXPLOSION ON THE R SIDE OF THE ACFT.
Narrative: ON CLB OUT FROM BDL, EXPERIENCED AN EXPLOSION FROM R SIDE OF THE ACFT. DUE TO WX AND RWY CONTAMINATION, WE DIVERTED AND LANDED AT JFK. WE DID NOT ASK FOR PRIORITY, BUT RECEIVED EXCELLENT SUPPORT FORM ATC. LNDG WAS UNEVENTFUL AT JFK.
