Narrative:

I was the PF. I landed on runway 20L at pdk and rolled to the end. We cleared runway 20L and held short of runway 20R. My captain contacted the tower and asked if we were cleared to cross runway 20R. She said, 'cleared to cross and monitor ground,' so we crossed runway 20R and taxied to the ramp. On our way to the ramp, we had to cross runway 27. This is the runway they informed us after we had taxied across was active. We spoke to them on the phone and they informed us that they never said to monitor ground, but rather said 'contact ground.' we never heard the tapes, but they said 'it is very confusing, but we were informed to contact ground.' the thing that would have prevented this is better communication. Supplemental information from acn 582537: we were never aware of a conflict until the end of my next leg from pdk. When I called the company to close the aircraft out for the day, I was told to call pdk tower supervisor. I phoned and the first thing the supervisor said was that the instructions and event were confusing, but we were told to contact ground.

Title: AN LR31 FLT CREW IS TOLD TO CONTACT GND AFTER LNDG. THE FLT CREW THOUGHT THEY SAID TO MONITOR AND THEY TAXIED ACROSS AN ACTIVE RWY.

Narrative: I WAS THE PF. I LANDED ON RWY 20L AT PDK AND ROLLED TO THE END. WE CLRED RWY 20L AND HELD SHORT OF RWY 20R. MY CAPT CONTACTED THE TWR AND ASKED IF WE WERE CLRED TO CROSS RWY 20R. SHE SAID, 'CLRED TO CROSS AND MONITOR GND,' SO WE CROSSED RWY 20R AND TAXIED TO THE RAMP. ON OUR WAY TO THE RAMP, WE HAD TO CROSS RWY 27. THIS IS THE RWY THEY INFORMED US AFTER WE HAD TAXIED ACROSS WAS ACTIVE. WE SPOKE TO THEM ON THE PHONE AND THEY INFORMED US THAT THEY NEVER SAID TO MONITOR GND, BUT RATHER SAID 'CONTACT GND.' WE NEVER HEARD THE TAPES, BUT THEY SAID 'IT IS VERY CONFUSING, BUT WE WERE INFORMED TO CONTACT GND.' THE THING THAT WOULD HAVE PREVENTED THIS IS BETTER COM. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 582537: WE WERE NEVER AWARE OF A CONFLICT UNTIL THE END OF MY NEXT LEG FROM PDK. WHEN I CALLED THE COMPANY TO CLOSE THE ACFT OUT FOR THE DAY, I WAS TOLD TO CALL PDK TWR SUPVR. I PHONED AND THE FIRST THING THE SUPVR SAID WAS THAT THE INSTRUCTIONS AND EVENT WERE CONFUSING, BUT WE WERE TOLD TO CONTACT GND.
