Narrative:
Sat evening, mar/sat/03, air carrier X's aircraft X was due scheduled maintenance. Part of ETOPS layover is tire condition. 5 of 8 main landing gear tires were below limits. Air carrier X had 3 main landing gear tires, air carrier Y stores B767-er tires at ZZZ. The 2 tires from air carrier Y was cleared with both air carrier Y moc's in ZZZ1 and air carrier X headquarters in ZZZ2. These tires were installed by mistake, as confirmed 3 nights later. Air carrier Y tire shop is valid for only air carrier Y aircraft. No other airlines, due to no FAA/pma authority/authorized tag is generated. Only air carrier Y rework paperwork. This tag is company confirmation to original specifications. My sta manager and lead man advised me to fill this form out. Clear policy practice is now posted in air carrier Y maintenance facility in ZZZ.
