Narrative:
I was PIC, proceeding on a composite VFR/IFR flight plan to enter the corridor over the hudson river. I had radar contact and was communication with ATC. The controller said, 'stay clear of our airspace.' class B airspace was clearly shown on my GPS display driven by my GPS, which had a new current data card. I remained clear of class B. What the controller meant to say, in my opinion, was 'remain clear of the ADIZ.' the controller soon advised that I had crossed into the ADIZ without permission and that I needed to phone in after I landed. I did so. I have a couple of suggestions: GPS should have the ADIZ data in their data card, and ATC should be more specific, and refer to the ADIZ rather than 'our airspace', which could be interpreted to mean what it meant before 9/tue, namely 'class B airspace.
