Narrative:
A male passenger exited the aft left lavatory. As he exited, I thought I smelled smoke. Another passenger entered lavatory before I could, and I asked him if it smelled of smoke. He said that it did. I entered lavatory and definitely smelled cigarette smoke. The offending passenger had gone up the wrong aisle to his seat, and was returning down the aisle towards me. He smelled of cigarette smoke. I asked him if he had been smoking, and he said 'no'. He was visibly intoxicated -- staggering and unable to look me in the eye. He returned to his seat, and I phoned purser to report incident.
