Narrative:
Departed 39N en route to bed. Intention was to fly through the ny class B airspace to destination. Called approach and requested clearance. Clearance was denied and I was told that I needed a flight plan. I proceeded west to exit the ADIZ and called millville FSS. A flight plan was filed in the air. I called ny approach (as instructed by FSS) and requested my squawk code. Ny gave me a squawk and the flight proceeded normally. The flight controller was very busy and did not hand me off to the next controller. After passing oxc, I could barely understand the controller. I called the next controller and informed her that I was not handed off to her and would she tell the previous controller that I was no longer on the frequency. She said she would and had me squawk 1200. The rest of the flight continued normally with a landing at bed.
