Narrative:

Just picked up plane from avionics shop. Had a new mode south transponder and a traffic information system installed. Altimeter read 6500 ft. Approach informed me they showed me at 6900 ft. My altimeter barometric setting was set correctly and verified at 30.05. My answer: have system checked and recalibrated and ask ATC to verify my altitude before I have assigned altitude after this type of avionics work.
