Narrative:
Aircraft X ground interrupted for spoiler light on. I placarded 1R spoiler module inoperative. I was not aware that another placard needed to be issued against autospd brakes and relied on technician services for the correct information. I should have checked the MEL myself.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: A B757-200 WAS DISPATCHED IN NON COMPLIANCE WITH SPOILER MODULE #1 DEFERRED AS INOP BUT AUTOSPD BRAKES WERE NOT PLACARDED PER THE MEL.
Narrative: ACFT X GND INTERRUPTED FOR SPOILER LIGHT ON. I PLACARDED 1R SPOILER MODULE INOP. I WAS NOT AWARE THAT ANOTHER PLACARD NEEDED TO BE ISSUED AGAINST AUTOSPD BRAKES AND RELIED ON TECHNICIAN SVCS FOR THE CORRECT INFO. I SHOULD HAVE CHKED THE MEL MYSELF.
