Narrative:
Due to the urgency of the need for the customer to depart, a hastily prepared logbook entry was made. In our rush to satisfy the customer, we omitted a necessary identify number from our approval for return to service. This error was discovered as soon as the customer had left, during our standard closing document review. We immediately made another log insert/entry with the necessary corrections and forwarded it to the customer with a letter of explanation and replacement instruction. Whenever possible, we review all documents prior to release to prevent this type of occurrence.
