Narrative:

Captain flying visual approach into mmgl, and on landing experienced a tail skid strike. I believe he cut thrust reverser, reduced thrust too much, too early, and applied too much back elevator pressure causing too much pitch attitude and caused aircraft to land hard. I feel fatigue was the cause of the event. We all had been on duty over 14 hours, and in the aircraft over 8 hours, because of international duty requirements. Hopefully, these duty regulations can be reduced and day/night transitions eliminated. Fatigue distorts perceptions, judgements, and response time.
