Narrative:
We departed runway 30 at lgb, turned to 180 degrees and climbed to 3000 ft. We were switched to socal. After checking in, were told to identify, then given a traffic alert for traffic at the same altitude at 1 O'clock position, 1.5 NM and an immediate climb to 4000 ft. We then got a TA followed immediately by a 'descend' RA. We picked up the traffic visually. We were already above the traffic and before we could respond to the descend RA, it switched to a 'monitor vertical speed' RA with the ivsi red below zero. We continued our climb to 4000 ft. The traffic passed below and ahead of us. We had several other traffic calls from ATC, one of which required a request for a turn to avoid the traffic. I do not know if everyone else is having the traffic conflicts that I am at sna and lgb, but I have a conflict about every 4TH trip into the area.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: B757 FLT CREW HAS TCASII RA WHILE DEPARTING FROM LGB.
Narrative: WE DEPARTED RWY 30 AT LGB, TURNED TO 180 DEGS AND CLBED TO 3000 FT. WE WERE SWITCHED TO SOCAL. AFTER CHKING IN, WERE TOLD TO IDENT, THEN GIVEN A TFC ALERT FOR TFC AT THE SAME ALT AT 1 O'CLOCK POS, 1.5 NM AND AN IMMEDIATE CLB TO 4000 FT. WE THEN GOT A TA FOLLOWED IMMEDIATELY BY A 'DSND' RA. WE PICKED UP THE TFC VISUALLY. WE WERE ALREADY ABOVE THE TFC AND BEFORE WE COULD RESPOND TO THE DSND RA, IT SWITCHED TO A 'MONITOR VERT SPD' RA WITH THE IVSI RED BELOW ZERO. WE CONTINUED OUR CLB TO 4000 FT. THE TFC PASSED BELOW AND AHEAD OF US. WE HAD SEVERAL OTHER TFC CALLS FROM ATC, ONE OF WHICH REQUIRED A REQUEST FOR A TURN TO AVOID THE TFC. I DO NOT KNOW IF EVERYONE ELSE IS HAVING THE TFC CONFLICTS THAT I AM AT SNA AND LGB, BUT I HAVE A CONFLICT ABOUT EVERY 4TH TRIP INTO THE AREA.
