Narrative:
I was the captain of air carrier X from seattle to las vegas. We were cleared for a VMC approach to runway 25L in las, but never handed over to tower control. After landing and clearing the active runway, we contacted tower and were cleared to the gate. The approach was challenging with about 25 KTS of crosswind and we focused hard on the approach and landing while being distraction as to our communication with ATC. Supplemental information from acn 593100: flight conditions included a relatively strong crosswind and turbulence. Also, I did not sleep well the night before this flight and I believe my lack of rest was a factor.

Title: B737 FLT CREW NOT HANDED OFF BY TRACON, FAILS TO CONTACT LAS TWR PRIOR TO LNDG.
Narrative: I WAS THE CAPT OF ACR X FROM SEATTLE TO LAS VEGAS. WE WERE CLRED FOR A VMC APCH TO RWY 25L IN LAS, BUT NEVER HANDED OVER TO TWR CTL. AFTER LNDG AND CLRING THE ACTIVE RWY, WE CONTACTED TWR AND WERE CLRED TO THE GATE. THE APCH WAS CHALLENGING WITH ABOUT 25 KTS OF XWIND AND WE FOCUSED HARD ON THE APCH AND LNDG WHILE BEING DISTR AS TO OUR COM WITH ATC. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 593100: FLT CONDITIONS INCLUDED A RELATIVELY STRONG XWIND AND TURB. ALSO, I DID NOT SLEEP WELL THE NIGHT BEFORE THIS FLT AND I BELIEVE MY LACK OF REST WAS A FACTOR.
